The Jungle Fowl is a peculiar fellow; carefree, colourful, vibrant, a little coy and entirely charming. This endemic bird species is also Sri Lanka’s national bird and a reflection of the island’s spirited personality. Commonly found in our forests and wild shrub habitats, the free-spirited Jungle Fowl is an embodiment of all things truly Sri Lankan.
